Samantha's Big Boy

Dan & Big Boy making the victory lap as the recipient of the 2001 Charles Kilburn Award

Big Boy is a great horse on the trails.  His calm and gently disposition is remarkable, especially for a breeding stallion.  He doesn't spook or shy away from anything.

Big Boy bred 6 mares in 1999 and he is as gentle with the mares as he is with people.  Out of those 6 breedings, 5 offspring were fillies. In 2000 Big Boy was bred to 9 mares that have delivered and who have produced 6 fillies.  He passes on his beautiful head and shoulders as well as a nice rear end and long legs.

Big Boy is double  registered RMHA/KMSHA  and is the great grandson of the foundation sire Tobe on top and bottom side. He is the son of Choco.

Big Boy has done very well in the few shows that he has shown in in 2001.  He started out the season in the spring as the winner of the 2001 Charles Kilburn Award at the Tri-State Rocky Mountain Horse Show.  In 2002 Big Boy won the Open Western Championship and the Open Stallion Championship classes at the Tri-State Rocky Mountain Horse Show!

His eyes have been checked and found to be cysts only.
